FIRST EVER ANNUAL CONFERENCE
AT THE AMAZING O2 ARENA

ST JAMES PLACE

As a hugely successful FTSE 100 company, St. James’s Place Wealth Management like to impress when it comes to their Annual Company Meeting. The one-day event sees 4,500 partners travel to London to hear the financial results for the previous year and upcoming business initiatives for the following one. The event is also an opportunity for St. James’s Place to prove their standing as a thought-leader at the forefront of their industry.

These were the requirements, the client laid out to our team at Thread – an event that would impress with a wealth of valuable information.

The first step was to secure an awe-inspiring venue worthy of such a company. Given the number of attendees, the prestigious O2 arena in Greenwich was the obvious choice.

Next, we needed to find some amazing guest speakers. We invited Clare Balding to host, with Bob Geldof, Tim Berners-Lee, Jeremy Paxman, Paul McGinley & Jamie Donaldson from last year’s winning Ryder Cup team, to come along and speak.

Finally, we wanted to end the event with a grand finale that would rouse the audience.  An internal Choir of administration staff especially put together for this event, conducted by Tim Rhys-Evans, brought the house down with their phenomenal, once-in-a-lifetime renditions of “One Voice” and “Happy”.  Truly a magical performance and a magical day and in the words of the CEO: “Pride, that is what every member of the audience felt as they left today.”

This event is the only one which brings together the entire SJP community, so it couldn’t be more important that everything went alright on the night.

Our involvement was to design and produce all of the visual content, set, staging and all technical aspects, speaker support and full video production, logistics support, and venue management.

We were also, the first company ever to use the 02 Arena for a business meeting. Since then, we have produced five more events at the venue, impressing guests each time.
