With an incredible billion users worldwide, Nokia is the world’s leading handset and communication provider.

While holding a firm position as the UK market leader, Nokia still needed help to hold off constant competition from the likes of Apple.

​

The challenge we faced was to get the support of every employee behind this shift, particularly difficult as staff felt Nokia was an organisation where internal silence existed.

​

We needed to fulfil the brand promise of ‘Connecting People’ starting from within.

We developed a ‘Brandwaves™’ programme,  connecting people around the critical themes of the business. The programme involved a series of ‘little and often’ nudges using visual cues to remind people to work more collaboratively. This included a giant doodle which people added to every day as a representation of staff achievement, growth and creativity.

​

Early indications are that the ‘Brandwaves’ are capturing people’s imagination and Nokia’s employees feel a greater connection to each other and the brand message.
